Boston Lights: A Lantern Experience

A classic Boston summer day! Begin the day with a two-hour narrated Boston Harbor Island Lighthouse Cruise. Voyage through maritime history with a special three-lighthouse cruise featuring close-up views of Long Island Light, Graves Light, and Boston Light - America's first light station. Onboard narration provided by Boston Harbor Islands Park staff and volunteers from the United States Coast Guard will help us experience one of the most unique and historically significant ports in the country.

Take time for dinner on your own at historic Quincy Market & Faneuil Hall, the perfect place to enjoy local cuisine!

In the evening experience an unique event unlike anything in the city at Franklin Park Zoo's Boston Lights Celebration. Now in its 5th year, this first of its kind lantern festival lights up an 1.5 mile loop through the zoo. Prepare to be dazzled by larger-than-life Chinese lantern animals from a 115-foot-long octopus, a 76-foot mythological Kun fish, to elephants, monkeys, rhinos, lotus flowers, butterflies, a walk-through lantern palace, a volcanic eruption of light, an ocean tunnel with sea turtles and so much more! Nightly live Chinese dance performances complete the magical summer atmosphere you won't want to miss!
