Join us for a day at the races in Saratoga Springs! We’ll get an inside look at everything that goes into the spectacle of New York Horse Racing.

DAY 1 –Take a tour of Old Friends at Cabin Creek, where we will meet a few retired race horses, hear their stories, and see how they live out their retirement in peace. Enjoy time on your own for lunch and shopping in downtown Saratoga Springs, then visit the National Museum of Racing & Hall of Fame to learn the story of racing in Saratoga.  Our guided tour will prepare us for our day at the races with displays on the weighing in process, wagering and odds, and you can test your skills on the racehorse simulator. A welcome reception awaits us at the Queensbury Hotel in Glens Falls.

DAY 2 – After a full breakfast buffet, we’ll depart for the Backstretch Tram Tour at Saratoga Racetrack to get a look at the horses as they workout in preparation for the days race. Watch the thoroughbreds work out on our walking tour of the Oklahoma Training Track (approximate 1 mile walking tour of the paddocks on uneven ground). Then, it’s off to the races!  You’ll have time for lunch at the track before the races, and you’ll enjoy Grandstand Admission & reserved seating for the races. Dinner at the hotel is included. DAY 3 – Our local guide will take us on a driving tour of Saratoga Springs to see Historic Congress Park, the mineral springs, and Millionaires Row. We'll depart for a narrated luncheon steamboat ride on beautiful Lake George, the crown jewel of Adirondack waters, then head back to the Cape. (B,L)
