Celebrate the season with us with an unforgettable journey to New England days of old. Begin the day at the historic Salem Cross Inn in West Brookfield, a historic restaurant (1705) listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The farmhouse is brimming with American antiques, crackling fires in fieldstone fireplaces, and the glorious smells of delicious food as we are treated to the Inn’s signature Fireplace Feast! Chase away the winter chill with a glass of mulled wine or cider while grazing on cheese & fresh warm bread while we watch our prime rib roasting to perfection in the open hearth on a 1700s Roasting Jack.

End the day with a special holiday visit to Old Sturbridge Village for their “Christmas by Candlelight” event. A recreated 1830s rural New England town featuring 40 historical buildings and costumed historians portraying residents and artisans of the village. Experience the history of age-old Christmas traditions as you watch demonstrations of classic Christmas projects, stroll through the decorated Village and Christmas Tree Trail, listen to stories and live music, sample sweet treats, ride the horse-drawn carryall, and more.
