Start our adventure on the water as we take the fast ferry service to Salem. Soak in the summer sun or relax on the covered deck as our ferry journeys from Boston to Salem. Once we arrive in Salem, stroll Essex Street - browse the shops, take in the seaside sights, and enjoy lunch on your own at the Essex Street Pedestrian Mall. We’ll celebrate over 350 years of history at the House of the Seven Gables! The beautiful mansion, built in 1668 by a wealthy sea captain, is located at the foot of Salem Harbor and is best known as the inspiration behind Nathaniel Hawthorne’s “The House of the Seven Gables”. Enjoy a tour of this lovely, historic home, stroll the beautiful Colonial Revival seaside gardens, and tour the neighboring Nathaniel Hawthorne Birthplace, a beautiful red Georgian style home circa 1750. Due to the historic nature of these homes, there are some stairs involved. Return to the Cape by motorcoach.
