For the past 25 years master sculptors from far and wide have met at Hampton Beach, NH to display their skills, creativity, and participate in the largest Master Sand Sculpting Competition in the Northeast. This exclusive, invitation only competition features jaw dropping sculptures! Over the course of the sculpting event nothing but sand, water, and the artists’ own creativity is used to create astonishing works of art out of sand. When completed they are sprayed with windscreen (a solution of glue and water) to protect them from the elements and remain standing for weeks creating a unique museum of masterpieces on the beach. Afterwards, we’ll head to Portsmouth where you will have time for lunch & light shopping (on own). End the day with a 2 hour 45 minutes narrated cruise around the Isles of Shoals and Portsmouth Harbor. As we glide through Portsmouth Harbor, we will see a unique working port with tugboats, tankers, the nation’s oldest active naval yard, the closed castle-like prison “the Alcatraz of the East”, 5 historic forts and 3 lighthouses proudly guiding mariners safely through the waters.
