Enjoy the colors of the Vermont countryside on this two-night fall getaway to the Burlington area of Vermont.

DAY 1 - We’ll stop at the quaint New England Village of Hanover, NH, before a stop at King Arthur Flour Company’s flagship store, then a visit to a Vermont favorite. Featured on the Food channel and in countless publications, this is a real Vermont taste experience. First you will enter the sugarhouse and learn about the challenging maple syrup industry, a significant part of Vermont’s culture. Then visit their store and tasting room. They have a USDA-inspected meat plant where meats and cheese are smoked using the Vermont farm’s original 1800’s recipes. While there, tasting a famous Vermont creemee is a must! Then, we’ll continue to the Basin Harbor Club, located on the shores of Lake Champlain, with views of the Adirondacks that can’t be matched!  Relax in your unique cottage that has a personality all its own, with views of Lake Champlain, the gardens, or golf course. Enjoy a time to explore the resort at your leisure before dinner at the Resort (D)

DAY 2 – Enjoy the Club’s huge country breakfast buffet at our beautiful resort. Sit back this morning before the activities start for the day and enjoy the sounds of the season! Then, take a narrated cruise of Lake Champlain, launching right from our resort. View the magnificent scenery from Vermont’s largest lake with spectacular views of New York’s Adirondacks as well as Vermont’s Green Mountains, as you hear narration about the history of this beautiful region. The captain’s narration will fascinate you with Lake Champlain's rich history, and he'll also point out geographic formations, sights of shipwrecks, and more. After our cruise, we’ll head to Burlington for lunch and shopping on your own in Church Street Marketplace, a pedestrian walkway filled with over 160 boutiques and restaurants. Then, visit the Shelburne Museum, one of the nation’s finest, most diverse and unconventional museums of art, design and Americana.  Commonly referred to as New England’s Smithsonian, the museum’s collection of over 150,000 works in the 39 exhibition buildings are easily accessible by foot or jitney. You’ll find works by Monet, Manet and Degas, a prized collection of folk art, the steamship Ticonderoga, a 1950’s house, restored lighthouse, and carriage house. Before dinner, one more stop! The view is spectacular at this boutique Village Winery in Vermont’s Champlain Valley. The winery features fruit wines made from local Vermont fruits. Dinner will be on your own this evening. (B)

DAY 3 Stop at Maple Landmark Woodcraft. Upon arrival, a master artisan will lead you on a private tour of this remarkable woodworking operation that uses locally sourced maple to craft iconic American toys, gifts and recreational items that are sold worldwide. After, there will be time for you to shop amongst their dazzling array of handcrafted items for house and home. Workshop-direct prices will ensure you will find something for everyone on your list and a treat for yourself. What would Vermont and the Green Mountains be without the Morgan Horse. There is nothing more majestic than watching the Morgan horse in its glory! A visit to this unique Morgan Horse Farm is a special experience: At the horse farm, the staff is dedicated to maintaining and training Vermont’s state animal. You will learn about its history and see the beautiful Morgan’s up close and personal! The Morgan Horse is one of the earliest horse breeds developed in US, named after its first owner. Morgans served many roles in 19th-century American history: being used as coach horses, harness racing, general riding animals, and cavalry horses during American Civil War on both sides of the conflict. Lunch in on your own in the quaint town of Middlebury. Maybe try one of the famous Inns or a local casual gem! After lunch, we’ll return to the Cape. (B)
