This spring, Blithewold Mansion’s gardens once again come to life as fifty thousand daffodils, early blooming bulbs, trees, and shrubs are coaxed from winter slumber to enchant guests during the annual Daffodil Days celebration. Blithewold Mansion is a beautiful seaside garden estate located in Bristol, RI. You’ll experience breathtaking views of Narragansett Bay as you tour the graceful mansion decorated with original furnishings. The guided tour continues through the grounds where a variety of colorful gardens demonstrate Blithewold’s prominence in horticulture. Enjoy a delicious boxed lunch at Linden Place before touring this historic mansion, the “crown jewel” of Bristol’s historic waterfront district. Built in 1810 by a seafaring General, the beautiful mansion is better known as the filming location of “The Great Gatsby” with Robert Redford & Mia Farrow. On our guided tour of the beautiful mansion, we will hear of the home’s history, both on and off screen
