Travel to Philadelphia for a getaway that is sure to warm your winter-weary bones! The Philadelphia Flower Show is the worlds oldest and largest indoor flower show, attracting more than 260,000 people annually. Youll be treated to fabulous floral and landscape design, live entertainment, culinary demonstrations, gardening how-to workshops, and lectures by experts.
DAY 1- We will take a guided tour of Philadelphia to see the most historic square mile in the United States, home to the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, Congress Hall, Christ Church and Elfreths Alley. Then, enjoy a delicious dinner in downtown Philadelphia before checking into our hotel, the Hilton Garden Inn, Philadelphia City Center. Within easy walking distance from our hotel are many nearby attractions that include the Flower Show, Reading Terminal Market, the Philadelphia Mint, the National Constitution Center, the Liberty Bell and more. DAY 2 - Youll have the entire day at leisure to explore the Philadelphia Flower Show. At the Designers Studio, youll see the nation's best design professionals and amateur contestants show their stuff live on-stage in head-to-head competitions. Located at the center of the Show floor, The Gardener's Studio is the perfect place to relax while learning something new, as gardening and greening experts share their passion with the public. At the Fine Wine & Good Spirits store, you can sample complimentary wines and liquors from the worlds finest makers and partake in free, expert-led tastings---the perfect way to end your day at the Flower Show. DAY 3 Well visit Longwood Gardens where show-stopping color, breathtaking displays, and inspiring artistry await during their Orchid Extravaganza. Come in from the cold and delight in the sights and scents inside the 4-acre Conservatory. See a beautiful towering 12-foot-tall archway made of Phalaenopsis orchids, an iconic orchid curtain, and more than 200 Vanda hanging in the Silver Garden. Longwoods gardeners, designers, carpenters, and metal workers craft original displays each year to present orchids in unique ways. (B).
