Myrtle Beach: Fun in the Sun

Visit the sun-kissed shores of South Carolina on this tour of Myrtle Beach, home to some of the best entertainment in the country! The average high temperature in April is 75 degrees, so pack your flip flops and don’t forget your bathing suit!

DAY 1 – Fly from Boston to Myrtle Beach, airfare to be arranged by Funtastic Getaways, pricing TBA. We’ll arrive in Myrtle Beach and check into our beachfront hotel, the Seawatch Resort. Enjoy fantastic views of the Atlantic Ocean from the balcony of your one-bedroom suite, as well as the resort’s six ocean front pools, two lazy rivers, hot tubs, restaurants, and beach access. (D)

DAY 2 – Visit Brookgreen Gardens, which was once a working rice plantation, and now it is an award-winning sculpture garden and National Historic Landmark. Enjoy lunch (on own) in Murrell’s Inlet and the afternoon at leisure before dinner at Original Benjamin’s Calabash Seafood. After dinner, we’ll see the Carolina Opry’s acclaimed variety show - two hours of high energy entertainment that blends humor and dancing with everything from rock’n’roll, Broadway, and country to classic hits. DAY 3 – Enjoy a leisurely morning at the hotel before our optional trip to Broadway on the Beach, South Carolina’s premier festive entertainment complex, for shopping and lunch on your own. Broadway at the Beach features over 100 specialty shops, 19 restaurants, theaters, and several award-winning attractions. Tonight, we’ll enjoy a delicious dinner at the waterfront restaurant, Chestnut Hill. We’ll return to Broadway on the Beach for the famous, live tribute show, “Legends in Concert!” Featuring an amazing all-star cast of FIVE great acts in one grand show. Legends In Concert performances are the real thing, with performers singing with their natural voices and perfection of mannerisms, hair and dress of the original celebrities portrayed. (B,D)

DAY 4 – Enjoy a full day at leisure to relax at the resort. (B).

DAY 5 – Relax by the pool or take a dip in the ocean this morning before we head out for lunch on the Barefoot Queen Riverboat. Enjoy a relaxing narrated cruise along the Intracoastal Waterway on the 70-foot authentic wooden Riverboat. Tonight, we’ll have dinner at a local favorite, Joe’s Bar & Grill, then visit the #1 entertainment theater in Myrtle Beach, the Alabama Theatre. Enjoy an evening of singing, dancing, and comedy rounded out with a state-of-the-art sound system! (B, L, D)

DAY 6 –  (B)Leisurely savor our final morning in Myrtle Beach before we depart for Boston. Return to the Cape
